About Harvard University Construction Mitigation

Harvard University's Construction Mitigation Team is working with City agencies, Harvard Faculty and Staff, and neighbors to effectively carry out a comprehensive construction mitigation program. The construction mitigation program aims to minimize or eliminate negative impacts to the surrounding abutters, the City, and the internal Harvard community from University construction projects, while allowing for an efficient approach to construction work.

Neighbors can call the construction mitigation hotline at 617-496-0857 24 hours a day, seven days a week to ask questions and voice concerns, or go to the web site to find out more information about construction activities taking place in the neighborhood.

The construction mitigation efforts are accomplished through proactive planning for each project, regular monitoring of all job sites, open communication with all stakeholders, working as a team to develop innovative solutions to complex construction issues and community concerns, and enforcement measures.
