32 Quincy Street Renovation and Expansion
Construction UPDATE

Week OF 5/20/13

Saturday, May 18th, 2013

• Miscellaneous work will take place throughout the project site.
• Work will begin at 9am per the City of Cambridge.

General Exterior Work

• Miscellaneous roof work will take place.
• Mechanical, electrical and plumbing installation will continue within the building.
• Framing, taping and painting will continue within the building.
• Facade work will take place.
• Waterproofing activities will take place at the South plaza skylights.
• Drainage work will take place near the Corbu ramp.
• Scaffolding will continue to be removed around the perimeter of the building.

General Ongoing Construction Activities

• Surveyors may be observed around the building and in the public ways throughout the project.
• General clean-up activities and safety coordination will continue to be performed around the site.
• General construction deliveries will be taken off of Quincy St.

                               
*Parking will not be allowed adjacent to the site on Prescott Street. At times there may be a detour established at the Harvard Street end of Prescott Street. The street will be reopened every day when construction activities are complete. All local traffic will be able to access the street but will be required to exit the street towards Harvard Street. Police details will be present to assist with traffic flow and pedestrian safety. Emergency Services will have full access to all buildings during this work. This work has been coordinated with the City of Cambridge and emergency services.

Harvard is committed to conducting construction operations in a manner that will minimize the disturbance to the public in areas adjacent to the work.
