Project Updates

November 7th - November 13th, 2009

As part of the University’s continuing effort to minimize disruptions to Weld Hill's external community, the Construction Mitigation Department is distributing a weekly update of construction activities that will be performed.

The weekend of November 7th, 2009

• Work will take place on the interior and exterior of the building. Exterior work is weather dependant.
• Work will begin at 7AM in accordance with the City of Boston Noise Ordinance.

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

• No work will take place on Wednesday, November 11th, in observance of Veteran's Day.

Site Work

• Installation of interior millwork and laboratory casework will continue.
• Installation of the wood flooring will continue.
• Installation of the acoustical ceilings will continue.
• Lighting and electrical devices will continue to be installed.
• Stone installation and preparation for paving will take place this week.
• Exterior siding and wood decking will continue.
• The greenhouse will continue to be constructed and MEP work will continue as well.
• Paving activities will take place on Centre St. this week. Police details will be present to ensure pedestrian and vehicular safety.
